Our Students

Dylan’s Story

We started lessons in 2018 and haven't looked back. My son began as a Kindergartener, not knowing what to expect but feeling passionate about all things music. His little keyboard, Imagine Dragons and Jazz Fest.

Fast forward to 2022 and we haven't looked back! His sister joined him in 2020 and we have found so much joy in our lessons, pieces practiced and mastered and performance opportunities to celebrate our hard work.

It's been incredible to see their improvement over time, and their true excitement to attend lessons AND practice on their own.

Music is both a skill and an outlet - and we are grateful to have incredible instruction and enthusiasm brought into our lives every single week.

Adelaide’s Story

Proud seems like too small of a word to describe how we feel about Adelaide's piano journey. As parents, we wanted her to explore all sorts of extracurricular activities, but were inclined to think that those activities would mostly revolve arounds sports. Afterall, she doesn't exactly come from a "musical family".

When she was 8 years old, both sets of grandparents each randomly gifted her an electric piano for Christmas, so we went from having no pianos to two pianos, and that began Adelaide's piano journey! Our neighbors' kids had Chase as their piano teacher and they really loved him, so we asked if he'd teach our daughters. Admittedly, I thought this would be a short-lived hobby, but after her first few lessons, Adelaide was hooked! Chase wowed Adelaide with his ability to sing and play so beautifully, and made every lesson fun. (I remember him playing Hamilton for her, and she just loved it!)

Like any great coach, Chase started with the fundamentals and built upon those skills. Every lesson brought upon more and more confidence. Piano has taught Adelaide perseverance and responsibility. Practicing is a key component of piano lessons, and because she respects Chase so much, she definitely doesn't want to disappoint him by failing to practice. Chase knows when to push and also when to "lay off the gas", but what I love most is that he encourages the kids to share their thoughts and feelings about workload versus having the parents do the talking. At our most recent recital, Adelaide played beautifully.

She practiced so much, but not because she was pressured to, but rather because she LOVES playing piano. That's a true testament to the relationship she has with her really awesome teacher, CHASE!

The most nurturing, enthusiastic and talented team of musicians in the city! So fortunate to have found this music school for my 3 children.
